New research from the Czech Republic suggests that the quality of central European hops (particularly the variety used to make pilsener) has been declining in recent decades due to warmer air temperatures from global warming.

German pilsener will taste even worse as climate change progresses due to changes in the composition of European hops.
Increased temperatures apparently reduce the level of alpha acid, the secret ingredient giving pilsener its delicate taste. And things are predicted to get worse as warming continues.
Is nothing sacred?
